Veteran radio presenter Marcus Kwikiriza has claimed he is retiring.
He has suddenly quit his job at Kismenti based Capital Radio to have breakfast with his family.
Marcus, who has spent two decades in on and off radio jobs and has been the lead on Capital’s Big Breakfast crew with Oulanya and Jackie here they’ve dominated ratings across the country.
But he has now confirmed he left the station and announced that his last appearance will be on Thursday, 6th 2017.
Marcus emotionally revealed on Tuesday: “My last show here is soon as I embark on a new chapter in life. And I will not be joining another station.”
Besides spending time with his wife Amber and two sons, Marcus has to attend to his firms Blackstar Entertainment and Imara African Coffee, jobs as Reserve Brand Ambassador at Uganda Breweries Limited (Johnnie Walker Ambassadorship) and working up ratings for the NBS TV show ‘Another Round’.
Marcus in a statement added: “What started as a vocational job in S6 vac back in ‘98 (Sanyu Radio) has ended up giving me a very fulfilling career and opening more opportunities than I can care to admit. It’s been 18 years of active radio work taking to me to 3 countries and 7 different radio stations.”
