Residents at Katuuso near Buziga in Makindye Division were treated to a dramatic scene when an 87-year old man showed up at his property with his two sons only to be told that it was sold to a white man in December last year.
Mzee Yoweri Sendi Ssalongo, a resident of Kyotera in Rakai district today (Wednesday) morning drove to Kampala to ascertain what went wrong with his tenants at Katuuso.
Upon reaching his two bungalows at Katuuso, he was told by the guards that the houses were sold to their boss, a Danish national who is currently out of the country. He was not allowed to access the premises and advised to come back next week on Friday when the ‘owner’ is back in the country.
At this point, the old man almost collapsed but was supported by one of his sons who said that their elder sister Ruth Nabuguzi connived with mafias to sell off their father’s properties.
“Just last week we learnt that she sold off our family land at Luweero by faking letters of administration and lying to the buyers that she was the heir after stealing vital documents from our father but looks she did the same to these two houses that were supporting him,” Moses Lule, a brother to Nabuguzi explained.
Mr. Lule said that the 75 acres of land at Luweero were valued at sh25m acre while the two houses at Katuuso were valued at over sh2bn.
He added that the houses were fetching Mzee sh7.2m a month and they had rented them to Chinese whom the sister allegedly compensated and pulled them out before fraudulently selling them to a yet to be known Danish guy.
Ms. Nabuguzi is said to have fled with the group of white women with whom she used to hang out with to either the US or UK.
The angry Mzee had no kind words to his daughter and said that even if he died today, they should not allow her come anywhere his body and grave.
“Ever since she started moving out white girls who I was told that were lesbians I knew that was the end of her because I was wondering she was not getting married but even if I die now, please never let her come anywhere near my body and grave; make sure you do not embrace her and she will never have peace in this world,” Yoweri said before speeding off to Buziga Police where they reported the matter.
Many times family members especially husbands have been reported to sell family property without informing their children and spouses including their marital homes.
