Makerere University Guild President Roy Ssemboga and other two students leaders have this morning been arrested by police and taken to Central Police station
In an operation led by Nsabimana the DPC Wandegeya police station, the arrested students have been picked from Makerere University main gate and taken CPS. The other two students arrested were Owen Natukunda the guild clerk and Rashid Wasityo a student of Education.
The students had planned a procession to parliament to hand in their petition to the speaker of parliament over the closure of the university.
Makerere University was closed on November 1 following the presidential directive after the disagreements between lecturers and management over their 8months incentive arrears that had attracted the students strike.
