Makerere University Vice Chancellor Prof John Ddumba Sentamu has suspended a senior lecturer for failing to handover students’ marks and scripts that are supposed to graduate in February.
According to the letter dated 30th January 2017, Prof Ddumba suspended with immediate effect Dr James Wokadala a lecturer in the department of planning and applied statistics in the school of statistics and planning under college of business and management sciences.
Wokadala is accused of hiring a one Opiro and irregularly giving him students’ scripts which Ddumba has ordered to be retrieved from him by mid day on Thursday 2nd February 2017 in the vice chancellor’s office.
Ddumba has however said that in the event that scripts and marks are not recovered, the affected students will be given a special examination on Friday 3rd February 2017 which shall be marked on the same day to enable students graduate on time.
Wokadala had subsequently handed over office to the Dean, School of Statistics, and Planning by close of business
