Police in Lira have arrested a 29-year-old woman on allegations that she is luring young girls into lesbianism.

The woman who confessed to the offense was found making love with a 15 year old girl at her Senior Quarters home in Lira town on Monday.

The North Kyoga regional police spokesperson, Mr David Ongom Mudong, confirmed the arrest, adding that the suspect has been charged with indecent sexual assault under a case file CRB32/2017, and she is currently being held at Lira Central Police Station.

According to the police, the suspect confessed she committed the said offence.

“Her file has been sent to the Resident State Attorney for legal advice and later she will be taken to court to answer to the above charges,” said Mr Mudong

The police officer added that the suspect had even tried to bribe the parents of the 15 year old with a goat and money as they tried to settle the matter in a village meeting.
