Former Inspector General of Police General Kale Kayihura has refuted reports that he has been arrested.

Information circulating on social media states the that Gen Kayihura had been summoned by the Chief of Defence Forces Gen David Muhoozi while other new outlets claimed he had been arrested from his farm in   at Katebe village, Kasagama Lyantonde District on Tuesday.

However, the General says the information is not true and should be disregarded. He further adds that even if it was true that he was arrested, “would I be the first one to be arrested?”

Kayihura says if it was true that he had been arrested, the army will have said it.

“Even if it happens, I’m i the first person to be arrested,” he asked. The General also wondered why media houses keep on spreading rumors,” he said in an exclusive interview.

Kayihura insists he got the rumors about his arrest through social media.
