One of the most, if not most gruesome derbies in East Africa, has got to be be the one fought between the yellow and blue halves of Kampala, between the uptown riche Kampala City Capital Authority FC and the downtown second-rate SC Villa.
With a history dating back to 1979, when a certain Kampala City Council (now KCCA) and Nakivubo Boys (now SC Villa). They have now faced each other more than 100 times, with KCCA having the betterment of the contest. The Jogoos have been the more successful the two sides both in Uganda and regionally having won the league 16 times, the most of any Ugandan football club, featuring in two consecutive finals of the CECAFA Clubs Cup and the CAF Cup in 1991 and 1992, while the Kasasiro Boys have won the league times and eight Ugandan Cup titles, along with a CECAFA Clubs Cup win at the regional level.
