Kampala International School Uganda (KISU) recently introduced a health program which aims to keep their students fit and health.
They school announced it has introduced a program called The Daily Mile is seriously taking improve the physical and mental health of children. As an international school KISU has students from over 50 nationalities.
“The Daily Mile is a fully-inclusive, free and simple initiative which improves the physical and mental health of children. It’s a social activity where the children run or jog, at their own pace, for 15 minutes every day
The aim of The Daily Mile is to improve the physical, emotional, social and mental health and well being of our children – regardless of age, ability or personal circumstances.” the school said in a Facebook post.
“Year 4 has joined in and the children have shown a lot of enthusiasm during our first sessions. We hope you can support your child at home by walking the Daily Mile during the weekend.”
