Just two days after slain Andrew Felix Kaweesi’s replacement as Uganda Police Spokesperson, AIGP Asan Kasingye claimed he is receiving death threats, the investigation has taken a new twist.
The commanding assassin behind the execution of AIGP Kaweesi, his driver and bodyguard just about 500 metres away from his residence in Kulambiro, Kampala, on March 17 has been named as ‘Bruhan‘.
A source said that following thorough interrogation of seven of the over 20 suspects currently in detention, some of them revealed that Bruhan recruited, paid and made a rendition with them on how to end the life of the popular Police boss.
Red Pepper also said the history of the call logs of one of his telephone lines that was got from phones of Kaweesi murder suspects currently in detention indicate that before the Police commander was murdered, Bruhan was staying and operation around Kisaasi, Kyanja and Kampala areas for over three months. Unfortunately. that number that was retrieved is not registered and has not been on since the Kulambiro shooting.
Bruhan is also said to be the leader of some well-connected criminal and killer gangs that have been targeting businessmen and security officers.

Bruhan is said not to be new in Police records as his name came up in investigations after the gruesome killing of Maj. Mohammed Kiggundu at Masanafu late last year. He alleged rented at Mama Fina (Maj. Kiggund’s wife) apartments as well during the time the UPDF officer was murdered.
He is said to have a Muslim background and very loaded, his superiors command him from abroad.
