Sandra Nakungu, Kasiwukira widow’s sister has been convicted of late businessman Eria Ssebunya Bugembe aka Kasiwukira on common intention with Police constable Jaden Ashraf while Sarah Nabikolo, wife of late businessman who was the prime suspect was acquitted.
The presiding judge in the Kasiwukira case, Justice Wilson Masalu Musene, on Wednesday delivered judgement before a packed courtroom at Kampala High Court.
The Police officer has been convicted of murder after evidence before court proved without reasonable doubt that Mr Jaden had knocked down Kasiwukira.
Justice Masalu Musene ruled that evidence shows the businessman  died a malicious death and not from a fatal accident.
Kasiwukira was killed on the morning of October 17, 2014 as he was jogging in the neighbourhood of Muyenga, a Kampala suburb. He was hit by a car, which sped off after the incident.
