One of the first private schools in Uganda, Kampala Parents’ School has again emerged as one of the best in the nation according to the Primary Leaving Examinations results released on Thursday.

The Naguru base school registered 200 first grades out of the 274 candidates who sat for the national exams last year.

The remaining 74 passed in second grade. The school’s candidates were also best performers of the mathematics subjects.

“This is to congratulate our pupils upon being the best in Math country wide in the just released PLE results by the Uganda National Examinations Board. We are so honored and humbled by this achievement.” The school principle Daphne Kato said.

Ms Kato says pupils’ discipline, team work from staff members and support from parents is what has made the school what it is to date.

The school sits on a 14 acre piece of land with more than 3,000 pupils from pre-primary to Primary Seven. The school was owned by its founder until 2008 when he sold it to Sudhir Ruparelia, the current proprietor.

He rewarded the best performing pupils with cash prizes of two million shillings each.
