Entebbe High Court Judge Joseph Murangira has condemned 10 people to 35 and a half years in jail over theft by use of violence, especially when armed with weapons and murder.

Delivering the judgment on Monday, Justice Murangira convicted Zainabu Nassanga, Faith Jurua, Irene Mutebi alongside Mohamed Ssemakula, Joseph Ssuuna and four others on 17 accounts of aggravated robbery and murder in Bwebajja and Kitende villages, Kajjansi Town Council on Entebbe Road about three years ago.

According to the prosecution, they attacked people in the said areas on August 28, 2014, armed with stones, sticks, knives and pangas and killed people including a one Lawrence Ssekito before robbing them of money and other household property.

Justice Murangira said such heartless peoples’ heinous crimes left many people scared and with long term physiological trauma.
