After the earlier chaotic scenes in parliament after an MP was accused of bringing a firearm into the chamber, red ribbons back on with opposition MPs singing the national anthem, complain that the age limit motion is being brought before earlier submitted motions.

After 7:00pm, there has been no debate in the House at the moment. Speaker Rebecca Kadaga writing down names of all MPs involved in the endless singing of the anthem.

Earlier, scuffles broke out and some were seen throwing chairs.

The MPs were supposed to be debating the removal of the presidential age limit clause in the constitution but Energy Minister Irene Muloni was asked to proceed as per the order paper, to read an update on the Oil and Gas Sector and the Basajjabalaba vs Usafi market wrangles took almost all day.

MPs opposed to lifting of the age limit wearing their red ribbons.

Now the much awaited Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi’s motion on amending of the age limit seems to be going to be tabled on Wednesday at 2pm after the House was adjourned.
