The Rotary Club of Kampala Ssese Islands is holding its Giant Rotary Yard Sale today (Saturday), 17th, December, till late in the evening.

The sale is at Nakivubo Blue Primary School in Kampala, near the intersection of Kafumbe Mukasa road and Kampala Fire Station.

“Many items have been collected by our Rotary Club Members that are available at great prices at the Joint Garage Sale fundraiser. There will be electronics, bicycles, golf equipment, many indoor and outdoor household items and many more treasures,” says Bright Makara, one of the club members.

Anyone wishing to donate items can do so by calling Winnie Matovu (at 0772 212634) to make arrangements to either drop off the items at Makerere Eastern gate, Victoria tiles – Rotary Avenue, Terracota Grill-Kisaasi, Nakumatt and Capital Shoppers or have them picked up.

Proceeds obtained for the Rotary Club of Kampala Ssese Islands will be used for the construction of a primary school on Ssese lslands and support the organization and its work here in Kampala.

Uganda Parliament’s publicist Helen Nanteza Kawesa is the president of the Rotary Club of Kampala Ssese Islands and the Club’s membership has grown to 79 and it is now the third largest Club with so many living projects in various districts.

Rotarians are neighbours, friends, and community leaders who come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world. With differing occupations, cultures, and countries, Rotarians are given a unique perspective. Their shared passion for service helps Rotarians accomplish the remarkable.
