The Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kale Kayihura has reshuffled over 17 regional and district police commanders. The police transfers were announced Tuesday evening through a radio message and they take immediate effect.
Eight assistant superintendents, 5 assistant commissioners, three superintendents and 1 assistant inspector of Police were affected. Mr Maxwell Ogwal who has been incharge of Greater Masaka has been told to report to the Kampala based Directorate of Human Resource Management alongside Aswa region’s Wilson Kwanya and Agaptus Echotu from Rwenzori East.
Mr. Echotu has been replaced as Regional Police commander by Mr. Richard Echega from Ikafe.
