Health Ministry’s  Agnes Nantunzi killed as govt cars collide in nasty accident

One person has been killed in a road accident along the Nakasongola-Kampala Highway.

The accident which occurred around 6 am at Wampiiti village, Kakoge Sub County in Nakasongola district on Thursday, claimed the life of Agnes Nantunzi, a data manager at the Ministry of health.

The accident occurred when a pick-up double cabin registration number LG – 025-066 belonging to Lira local government travelling to Kampala collided with another Pick up double registration number UG 459-H in which Nantunzi was travelling in.

Those injured include Jane Frances Offungi, the Lira District Education Officer, Robert Lubogo, a driver with Ministry of Health and Moses Kasule, a driver with Lira district local government.

Mark Tivu, the Lira District Chief Administrative Officer says that Offungi is in a critical condition and has been referred to Mulago national referral hospital.
