Sudhir Ruparelia is at it again just few months after opening another building in Nakasero area.

On the weekend, Rajiv Ruparelia, the Managing Director of Crane Management Service, opened up a building on 5th street industrial area.

“In order to reduce the cost of construction in Uganda we need the support of government to help us [reduce on] import duties and high VAT we spend on construction,” Rajiv said, adding: “80% of our building materials is imported [but] there is no subsidies for the manufacturing arms who are supplying the development sector.”

The building is 1600 meters of the total area. Sudhir will in July unveil another state of art building that is under construction at Shimon grounds.

Crane Management Services has continued to open up different buildings around Kampala with  previous ones like Hardware city on Entebbe road, Kampala Boulevard on Kampala road, Market Plaza on Market street , Speke Apartments on Wampeewo Avenue in Kololo and others.

CMS boss Rajiv Ruparelia says this is another opportunity for the members of the informal and industrial sectors to exploit through acquisition of the spaces to showcase their products.

It is through Crane Management Services under Ruparelia Group owned by Uganda’s Tycoon Dr Sudhir Ruparelia that efforts are made to solve Uganda’s hotels, restaurants, housing apartments, shopping malls  and office  short comings in Kampala.

The building is approximately 1600 square metres with a spacious parking room that can accommodate up to 50 cars.
