All participating Ugandan Secondary Schools will be smartly clad when the East African secondary schools games start in Gulu district this week.
This is possible after Fresh Dairy recently handed branded sports kits worth Shs90 million to all Ugandan Secondary Schools that going to participate in the annual East Africa Secondary school games (FEASSSA) that will be hosted at St. Joseph College Layibi and Sacred Heart SS from August 17-27.
Up to 3500 students and 500 officials are expected are for the games.
The sports kit which contains Jerseys, T-shirts, shorts and socks is meant to give Team Uganda a national identity and visibility all throughout the game. The Samurai kits that are imported from the UK will be a good motivation to the players before the championships kicks off.
Mr. Vincent Omoth, Marketing Manager Fresh Dairy during Friday’s handover event encouraged the Ugandan teams to take advantage of their home ground and ensure that they are among the talented basketballers and hockey players who stand to win the Brookside Strathmore sports university scholarship for six of the best basketball and hockey players.
This is the sixth time Uganda is hosting the games that were first held in 2002 by Kenya.
