Court Martial ‘turns away’ AIGP Col Ndahura Atwoki in kidnapping case

Army Court chairman Lt. Gen. Andrew Gutti on Monday granted bail to former Police Director of Criminal Intelligence Col. Ndahura Atwooki.

Col. Ndahura shall report to court once every month and that his movements are restricted to Kampala and Wakiso districts.

Col. Ndahura who has been in detention at Makindye Military barracks for close to eight months is, together with former Inspector General of Police Gen Kale Kayihura, charged with failure to protect war materials and interfering with the process of law contrary to Section 166 of the UPDF Act 2005.

Col. Ndahura also is jointly charged, with the former Police Chief, General Kale Kayihura, former Flying Squad commandant Herbert Muhangi, former Special Investigations Unit commandant Nixon Agasirwe and others, with the kidnap of Rwandese.
