FDC Pastor Ngabo’s wife charged for stealing 100million from Chinese man

Pastor David Happy Ngabo is in the news again after his wife was charged by the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court for defrauding a Chinese national over Shs 100million.

Ms Sandra Katebairwe aged 40 is the wife to the Pastor David Ngabo who came to fame for participating in the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) defiance activities.

Pastor Ngabo from Makerere Deliverance Church has been leading the prayers was particularly leading the national defiance prayers at the FDC headquarters in Najjanankumbi.

Pastor Ngabo’s wife appeared before the chief Magistrate, Mr Jamson Karemani and denied three charges of obtaining money by false pretense, forgery and uttering false documents.

Pastor Ngabo’s wife stole money from a Chinese national

The offences are contrary to the Penal Code Act.

Court granted Pastor Ngabo’s wife a cash bail of Shs 10million, upon presenting her surities.

The pastor’s wife gained temporary freedom after paying the money.

Prosecution contends that on June 2, 2016 at Mama restaurant along Kampala road, Pastor Ngabo’s wife posturing as a businesswoman and with the intention of defrauding obtained Shs 192million from a Chinese national, Mr Wu WeiLing.

The pastor’s wife had promised the unsuspecing Chinese man that she was giving him rooms for rent.

According to documents seen by this reporter, Pastor Ngabo’s wife, in order to accomplish her defrauding deal first forged tenancy agreements between Senana and Mama M/A Investments Limited.

Consequently, on the June 2, 2016, Pastor Ngabo’s wife while meeting the Chinese man at Mama restaurant, “knowingly uttered the tenancy agreement in question” claiming that the agreement had been signed by the director of Mama M/A and M/O Concepts  Uganda Limited on behalf of Senana Investments Limited.

Mr Karemani, he trial magistrate, adjourned the case to March 15, when it the pastor’s wife will be in court for mention of the case.
