The Forum for Democratic Change has reached an agreement with former candidate for the party presidency Moses Byamugisha over consultations in higher institutions of learning.

On Friday, FDC Secretary General Nandala Mafabi noted that Byamugisha was moving around the country ‘mobilising’ in universities under the guise of the FDC Youth League without party authorization.

Byamugisha yesterday appeared before the FDC Youth League to explain why he has been conducting unauthorized mobilisation meetings.

The Youth League meeting was chaired by the Party President Patrick Oboi Amuriat at the party headquarters in Najjanakumbi who aked Byamugisha to operate within the confines of the Constitution of FDC so as to maintain cohesion of the party.

According to Amuriat, it was not the responsibility of Byamugisha to go mobilising independently in Universities on behalf of the party without authorisation.

He however says they have reached an understanding with Byamugisha.
