Embattled bar entrepreneur and rally ace Andrew Kananura commonly known as Desh, has Tuesday been freshly charged with the murder of Badru Kateregga.
Kananura who plead ‘not guilty’ before presiding Judge Joseph Murangira is accused of beating to death Mr. Kateregga, his employee at Panamera Bar in Kampala after he allegedly found him with 30,000 Shillings, an amount that exceeded the allowed cash to be held by any worker at the bar.
The rally ace and four others first appeared before Justice Masalu Musene in February this year and pleaded not guilty to the charge but the judge excused himself from hearing the case citing bias accusations from the public.

On January 19, 2013 Desh who had left the country after Kateregga’s death, was arrested at Entebbe Airport on his return from the UK. Three days later, he was charged and remanded to Luzira Prison for murder. In February, 2013 the High Court released him (Desh) on a Shs20million bail.
The case will be heard again on 21st November.
