Kampala City Hall court grade one magistrate, Beatrice Kainza has charged and remanded Andrew Mugudde a police detective attached to the office of the prime minister to Luzira prison on allegations of defiling and infecting a 15-year-old girl with HIV/AIDS.
According to state prosecutor Pamela Orogotthe, Mugudde knew that he was HIV/AIDS positive but unlawfully had sex with an underage girl in Ntinda police barracks on November 2016.
Kainza did not allow Mugudde to take plea because the charges against him are grave in nature and can only be tried by the High Court.
Mugudde will languish in Luzira prison until February 3, 2017 when his case comes up for mention.
