Police in Katwe Makindye division has discovered a dead body of a city businessman Wednesday morning alleged to have been murdered by thugs.

The deceased has been identified as Deo Mayambala a 45 year old and resident of Jjuuko zone, Kibuye 1 Parish Makindye who has been operating a chain of businesses in the area and was found killed and his body placed in a water trench.

According to a witness he said “Mayambala has been operating in Makindye and an innocent person, but it seems the thugs asked him to surrender his belongings after trailing him and thus killing him to take his money”

Residents also decried increasing cases of murder in the area and blamed police for failing to increase both patrols to wipe out criminal gangs operating in the area.
Police picked the body and was rushed to Mulago hospital mortuary for a postmortem report as hunt for the killers continues.
