Luweero Resident State Attorney has sanctioned a case file against four juveniles for allegedly authoring anonymous letters threatening to kidnap and kill the district woman Member of Parliament.

Three of the teenagers aged between 11 and 14 years, are pupils at Wobulenzi Public Primary School and Answar Primary school, while one is a senior one student at St. Kizito Secondary School in  Wobulenzi town.

Savannah Regional Police Commander Paul Kangave, says on Tuesday last week the four teenagers circulated anonymous letters to the home of Luweero District Woman Member of Parliament Lilian Nakate (pictured up), and others at Bukalasa village where they warned of pending attacks.

Kangave says upon arrest, the juveniles confessed authoring the letters, but asked for forgiveness saying they did it for fun.

But Kangave says Police will not drop the charges against the minors because the letters created fear among the public.

He adds that the Resident State Attorney has now sanctioned charges of written threats to murder, against the juveniles.
