The body of another woman who went missing days ago has been found with marks of strangulation and sexual abuse.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman, Mr Luke Owoyesigire, said 32-year-old Charity Kyohirwe, a resident of Masajja Parish in Makindye division, Kampala went missing on Friday and her captors had demanded for a UGX5m ransom which her family did not readily have.

Kyohirwe has been running a restuarant in Massaja on Entebbe road and Police suspects that she was kidnapped near Mutundwe since she oftn went there for night prayers.

Her body was found on Saturday morning dumped in a banana plantation in Mutundwe, a city surburb. The kidnappers warned Kyohirwe’s relatives that if they inform the police, they will kill the victim. However, the relatives informed Katwe Police station that they started tracking suspects.

It is not yet clear whether the relatives were able to send the ransom to the suspect or not. “We don’t know whether they demanded a ransom after killing her or not,” Mr Owoyesigire said.

This is the second such incident; in January, another woman, Susan Magara was kidnapped only for her body to be found 21 days later. Her captors had demanded for a $1m ransom.
