Byanyiima caps off perfect week as Besigye son makes Harvard cut

The admission of opposition kingpin Dr Kizza Besigye and Oxfam International boss Winnie Byanyima’s only son, 17-year-old Anselm Besigye to Harvard University in the United States has caused a stir on social media.

Mrs Byanyima said on twitter that she was “speechless” and the “proudest mom.

Three days ago, Byanyima a former Mbarara Municipality MP, revealed how she has no doubt in her mind about her abilities to run Uganda as head of state and was hours later named number among professional marketing site, LinkedIn’s Top Voices of 2016 as the must-know Influencer in the United Kingdom.

In April this year, Besigye Jnr was elected as the president of a debate club at Oxford University in England.

Besigye and Byanyima’s son has spent most of his life in the US and UK having been rushed out of Uganda in the early 2000s while still a toddler.
