The image of Ronald Edward Frederick Kimera Muwenda Mutebi II, the Kabaka of the Kingdom of Buganda might get badly tainted after it was revealed that his brother prince David Wasajja and a subject, businessman Dr. Muhammad Kasasa are fighting over an expensive piece of land in Kampala, TheUgandan can report.
The disputed property is a multi billion bungalow located on plot number 10-12, Buziga Ring Road in Kampala City, which the Buganda royal claims still belongs to his late father, former King, Sir Edward Muteesa. It was until recently registered in the names of Sarah Nabuwule, Janeta Nakwunde and Fraidah Zabali who are daughters of Dr. Kasasa and live in Great Britian but the bungalow brought from East Africa Telecommunications was grabbed by Prince Wasajja in October 2005 whose case is now registered under ref number GEF 472(2016).
Coincidentally, Buganda Land Board played cat and mouse games with Dr. Kasasa’s family when they applied for a lease renewal until it was too late.

According to government papers after 50 years in custody, Muteesa gave his power of attorney to Princess Victoria Mpologoma on 10th May 1968 and then Government Registrar of documents and former Attorney General, Godfrey Lule(still alive).
Prince Wasajja last week rushed to Police and reported a suspected case of forgery against Dr. Kasasa on allegations that the latter forged the Late Muteesa’s power of attorney to transfer the property to Kasasa’s family, his lawyer Simon Kizza confirmed.
Mr Kizza said that he got a summon saying in part,” .. the purpose of this communication is to invite you to CID Headquarters in Kibuli on 22 May 2017 at 1000hrs to provide relevant information in the matter under investigation.”
Wasajja’s Police summons were trashed by Dr. Kasasa’s lawyer who told cops that his client’s matter can’t be investigated by Police as the matter is set to be heard by the Court of Appeal on May 30, 2017.
Upscale Buziga
Buziga has always been a fairly or largely residential place so services such as restaurants, salons among others used not to exist. Apart from the recently opened mini supermarkets, the shops too were few. With a growing population such services are popping up.
A 15 minutes’ drive from the city centre on a not-so-busy traffic day will get you uphill or down whichever place you are destined. It is roughly 10 kilometres from Kampala and is within Makindye division. Bunga, Gaba, Munyonyo, Salaama, Makindye are the neighbouring areas.
