Police are currently detaining city socialite Brian Kirumira, popularly known as Bryan White, has been for allegedly shooting a man identified as Victor Bitwire.
Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman, Luke Owoyesigyire, said Kirumira is being detained at Kabalagala police division headquarters as investigations continue.
He said: “Today at 2am in Buziga at the premises of Brian White Kirumira, Bitwire victor was shot in his shoulder.
In November, the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) has arrested White as he was picked from Auto Spa bar in Munyonyo, Kampala with three of his body guards by plain clothed CMI operatives and is being held at Join Anti-terrorism Task Force (JATT) Force headquarters for squeezing.
This military source told TheUgandan that the CMI is probing Bryan White’s relationship with Kaweesi girlfriend Christine Mbabazi believed to be in possession of very useful information on Andrew Kaweesi’s gruesome murder.
It is believed that Christine Mbabazi has complained to CMI that Bryan White recently got her number and started calling her that she should accept his offer and stop talking anything regarding Kaweesi’s murder.
A source noted that Mbabazi told security that Bryan White has been persuading her to accept Shs200m and stop talking about Kaweesi.
