An entourage of bodaboda riders ( motorycycle taxis) have taken to the street to escort afrobeat musician Robert Kyagulanyi better known as Bobi Wine who has been sworn in as a member of parliament.
He was sworn in by the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga at the parliament’s building in Kampala.
The Speaker gave Wine a copy of the house rules and the constitution.
“Honorable Kyagulanyi I congratulate and welcome you to the 10th parliament. Here is a copy of the rules of procedure and constitution. Study them and they will guide you,” Speaker Kadaga said.
Since he is an independent MP, Mr. Kyagulanyi was asked to choose which side of the house he preferred to sit and he picked the opposition side.
