Azira joins Uganda Cranes camp ahead of Congo battle

Colorado Rapids midfield player Mike Azira was the last player to join camp yesterday to complete a full house ahead of Saturday’s 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Congo Brazzaville.

mike-aziraThe anchorman immediately joined the 17 other foreign-based players and seven Uganda Premier League stars team has successfully trained at St Mary’s College, Kisubi on Thursday from the State Banquet at Entebbe State House.

Azira, had missed his earlier scheduled flight on according to coach Micho Sredojevic.

The 29-year-old midfielder was an unused substitute when Cranes travelled to Burkina Faso for a Nations Cup qualifier. Azira also remained on the bench in the return leg three days later.

He is tipped to make the starting eleven as Uganda hosts the Congolese at the second step of the road to Russia.
