The body of unidentified woman has been discovered in Nansana Municipality.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, there were no marks on the woman’s body. Owoyesigyire says that residents alerted the police at 10pm, after they found the body dumped on Kisumu road, Katoke Parish.
Owoyesigyire says that there were no identification documents on the body but only a 1,000 shillings note. He adds that the body was taken to Mulago Hospital for a postmortem.
This is the second unidentified woman to be found dead and body dumped on the road side in less than a week.
On 11th May 2017, an unidentified woman was found strangled and dumped on Ssembeguya Road, Kirokole zone in Kawempe Division.
Up to date, the identity of the woman found in Kawempe has yet to be known but police has since recorded statements from residents of the area where the body was dumped.
