The Uganda Police Professional standard unit has finally arrested a driver who was driving a police patrol pick up that intentionally knocked an innocent civilian along Gayaza road.
The hunt started mid this year when a footage appeared on several social media and electronic platforms showing a patrol knocking a civilian who was following Besigye to his home to Kasangati.
According to the police spokesperson Felix Kaweesi, the suspect has been identified as corporal Benon Matsiko attached to Kirra police station.
Kaweesi explained that Matsiko was driving vehicle registration number UP 4832.
He said that he is yet to face criminal charges but said the victim is still missing.
