Mr Kanyamunyu, 39, was jointly charged with his girlfriend Cynthia Munangwari, and his elder brother Joseph Kanyamunyu, a public relations guru, last month.
The suspects are expected to appear before Nakawa Magistrates Court to know of investigations in the murder case against them on Tuesday morning.
Once police investigations are complete the trio will be committed to the High Court for trial, since their case is capital in nature and only bailable and triable by this court.
They are expected to be produced before Court’s grade one magistrate Noah Sajjabi.
Prosecution alleges that on November 12, this year, Matthew, Munwangari, Joseph and other accomplices still at large, while on Kampala- Jinja Road near Malik Car Bond, opposite Uganda Manufacturers Association offices, in Nakawa Division, “with malice aforethought caused the death of Kenneth Akena”.
The trio was charged with murder, an offence for which the maximum penalty is death and are currently on remand in Luzira Maximum Security Prison.
