Police have fought with Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) secretary for mobilization, Ms Ingrid Turinawe shortly after she tried to rescue ‘her goat’ that was taken away from her in 2016 by officers at Wandegeya.
Ms Turinawe was on Tuesday morning in “Red Tuesday” of the lifting of presidential age limit when she chose to attack the police station to reportedly rescue the goat at Makerere police post..
The “Red Tuesday” protest was recently launched by opposition figure, Kizza Besigye.
Ms Turinawe claims her goat was taken away from her last year when she was taking it to Makerere University for a fundraising drive to help financially the then striking teaching staff of the university.
Police immediately intercepted her and scuffle ensued. “I put up a fight but I was overpowered because they came many” Turinawe said.
