Four Muslim men with known criminal records are facing possible death sentences in the killing of Sheik Maj Mohammad Kiggundu and his body guard Sgt Steven Mukasa at Masanafu Trading Centre in Rubaga Division on November 26.
Major Kiggundu, husband to popular traditional healer Sylvia Namutebi aka Mama Fina was shot and killed by the four and others still at large according to prosecution.
Sheikh Yahaya Mwanje, the former Amir Umah (leader) of Tabliq Muslims, Sheikh Muhammad Buyondo alias Matia, a boda boda rider; Abdul Wahaab Sendegeya, also a boda boda cyclist in Kyengera, Nsangi town council and Musa Sekandi alias Masanafu, a businessman in Masanafu Trading Centre were charged on Friday at Buganda Road Court with two counts of murder.
Sheikh Mwanje was arrested on November 27, Buyondo and Sendegeya on December 5 while Sekandi was arrested on December 26.
Chief Magistrate Jameson Kaliman said court has no jurisdiction to hear their case.

Kiggundu was one of the former Allied Democratic Forces rebels who were granted asylum by the regime to surrender.
ADF is a rebel group opposed to the Ugandan government and is considered a terrorist organisation.
Major Kigunddu a former ADF rebel was a witness in a murder case of Muslim clerics against Tabliq leader Sheikh Muhammad Yunus Kamoga.
