A primary school teacher has Monday been charged and sent to Luzira maximum prison for sodomizing his pupil.

Mr George Makande,34, a teacher at Mwebaza Nursery and Primary School in Nangabo in Wakiso district was charged before High Court judge Joseph Murangira.

Makande however denied the charge insisting he is innocent.

Although Makande is expected to protect, teach and help pupils, he instead raided the boys’ dormitory at the school and descended on one of the pupils before committing the heinous act. Makande has been on remand since April 2013 when he allegedly committed the crime.

Sources at the school revealed that the teacher would sneak into the boys’ dormitory in the wee hours of the morning pretending to check on the innocent boys.

According to the victim, Makande first found him in the dormitory while doing general cleaning.

The victim further narrated to court that on the second occasion, his teacher sodomized him behind the dining hall after he had finished eating dinner. The victim noted that, from then, his teacher continued sodomizing him.

However, luck ran out for Makande when the pupil refused to go back to school after holidays and a result, the mother managed to get the information out of his son.
