Former FDC presidential candidate Dr Kizza Besigye has been arrested.
Besigye was arrested on Thursday at at his office at Katonga road, Nakasero Kampala District.
The arrest came after opposition leaders including City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, several religious leaders and party supporters have gathered at party headquarters in Najjanankumbi to hold prayers for Kasese victims.
According to eyewitness reports, Besigye’s car was towed to Kisaasi.
