Police in Gulu is investigating the circumstances under which Gulu university lecturer was shot dead in suspected motorcycle robbery in Gulu town.
It is indicated that the deceased Isaiah Okidi was on Sunday evening by a private security guard guarding at Dfcu bank Gulu branch.
The lecturer was from an ATM machine to withdraw some money before the guard shot him dead while proceeding to his motorcycle in the parking lot.
The Guard is reported to have asked Okidi if he was the owner of the motorcycle and the latter responded but the guard released a bullet after suspecting that he could be a thief that killed him instantly.
After a horrible incident, the security guard handed himself to the police at Gulu central police station.
