Victoria University has Wednesday announced the 2021 Bursary Scheme that will see the university offer a 60% discount on tuition fees on all courses in the four faculties and full scholarships to the lucky beneficiaries.

Rajiv Ruparelia, the director of Victoria University, revealed that every academic year, depending on the various situations and opportunities, Victoria University will be opening up, close to 100 full scholarships, to selected students, under different categories.

The scholarships and the announced discounts on tuition fees are backed by Ruparelia Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Ruparelia Group, the conglomerate owned by businessman Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia.

Rajiv said Victoria University is privileged to be part of Ruparelia Group that owns up to 40 companies that are in position to offer training, internships and possible job placements for all “our students we release to the job market every year,”

Meanwhile, Victoria University announced it had offered full scholarships to Ugandan students from different districts in the country.

The lucky students Feddy Akello, Sylvester Lulenzi, David Siya, Moses Ssemitego and Swabrah Mbawomye. The full scholarships are under Ruparelia Foundation.

“We know that there are several other students who are struggling to secure tuition to ably join this University. The Ruparelia Foundation has given Victoria University bursaries which we are using to make education accessible to all Ugandans; by granting a 60% reduction of tuition. There are only a few slots left, of the 1,000 slots for this February to March intake,” he added.

Meanwhile the university will be holding its 5th graduation ceremony slated to take place on February 19 2021 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
