Police has arrested Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze.
Police descended on Nambooze home in Mukono and are reported to have picked up the outspoken legislator.
She is reported to have been taken to Jinja Road Police Station.
Her lawyers who include Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and MP Medard Ssegona are currently at Jinja Road Police Station.
Police has confirmed that it is investigating Nambooze in connection with the death of Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga.
Police is particularly investigating remarks made by Nambooze before Abiriga’s death which were published on Social media, in which she is alleged to have supported an attack on Abiriga.
Police says it is also investigating three other people over the same.
Abiriga and his brother were shot dead on Friday last week by gunmen near his residence in Kawanda along Bombo Road.
