Officials said this marked the way Uganda’s journalism students will benefit from constant industry engagement through apportioned working hours at Wizarts Media located in Ntinda, Kampala.
The privately run Wizarts Media is praised as a 360 media warehouse where interning students obtain total media experience throughout their academic life at University, revealed VU’s University Academic Registrar Mr. Joseph Nyakana.
“This without doubt it is a unique selling point for the university courses going forward, one can join in the preparations of such unique facility,” added Mr. Nyakana
At the signing, Wizarts’ Operations office Mr. Sam Bunya said that this is a wonderful opportunity to impact the people of media students and the journalism at large. “They get to experience the real world, and in class students are sheltered with many experiences.”
“Together they plan to do symposiums offering of internship, corporate social responsibility as well as skill training,” says Mr Fred Kasirye Dean of Humanities and Social Science.
