Ruparelia Group sweep Ekkula tourism awards

The Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards were held at Pearl of Africa Hotel to recognize individuals and brands who are making the sector flourish. The awards join a list of other initiatives that go an extra mile to promote tourism in Uganda and to the world.

And for their contribution to the tourism industry in Uganda, Ruparelia Group, Victoria Cafe and Speke Resort & Conference Centre Munyonyo were voted best tourism investor, best cuisine restaurant and the Best Service/Luxury Standard Hotel in Uganda respectively.

The judges’ choice was based on the nominee’s contribution to promoting Uganda as a top tourist destination; promoting domestic tourism as much as international tourism, professionalism, feedback from travels and conservation of culture.

Speke Resort Munyonyo was built in 2001 and accommodated the visiting Presidents and Prime Ministers at the 2007 Commonwealth Conference (CHOGM).
