CAF Champions League preliminary
KCCA (1) vs CNaPS (2)
StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo 4pm
KCCA winger Paul Mucurezi is targeting victory when the Uganda league champions play Madagascar champions CNaPS Sport FC at the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo in Kampala in the CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg Wednesday afternoon.
KCCA will be seeking to overturn CNaPS’s 2-1 lead.
“The team is ready for the game. Until the first leg we didn’t know about CNaPS but we discovered they can play very well. That means we don’t have to relax as a team; we just have to get the job done here at home and progress.” Mucurezi said.
Mucurezi will alongside striker Derrick Nsibambi, Mohammed Shaban and Allan Okello be tasked with hunting for the goals in the absence of injured compatriots Muzamir Mutyaba, Jackson Nunda, Sadam Juma and Julius Poloto.
“We shall score, there is no doubt about that. The team created many chances in Madagascar but the hosts were more effective,” a confident KCCA coach Mike Mutebi asserted on Tuesday after their last training.
