President Kaguta Museveni has today harvested what he planted last year during his water-bottle irrigation demonstration farm in Kawumu, Luweero.

“It is an achievement to be poor in Uganda,” he believes.

“All families show embark on commercial rather subsistence farming as a way of social economic transformation,” he added.

In the same locality, Mr. Museveni was last year pictured pushing a bicycle loaded with a 20 liter jerrycan of water in a bid to promote irrigation. He was snapped pushing his matooke (plantain) harvest on a bicycle again today after cutting them down while clad in army boots.

It’s not a surprise that Museveni is giving Luwero more attention simply because he spent five years in the area during the bush war he fought to overthrow the previous dictatorial governments.

President Yoweri Museveni spent Wednesday morning harvesting his crops from his farm.
The crops included bananas, pineaapples and mushrooms.
Musveni ‘s farm is located at Kawumu in Luwero District.
