The office of the Directorate of Public Persecutions (DPP) has said they are still studying the file of 13 opposition Members of Parliament including the likeable Kyandondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine who disrupted the debate on the Bill (now law) last month.
According to reports from the office’s spokesperson Ms Jane Okuo Kajuga, the rowdy 13 MPs are likely to face various types of assault charges and also malicious damage to property.
Other MPs who were ejected from the House and detained at different police stations included Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo Municipality), Jonathan Odur (Erute County South), Mubarak Munyangwa (Kawempe South), Allan Ssewanyana (Makindye West), Joy Otim (Lira District Woman MP) and Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda (Kira Municipality).
