Proline Football Club have enjoyed victories against KCCA and Bright Stars in the past couple of days, Fahad Bayo scoring in the latest and earning the ForteBet man-of-the-match award– after overcoming an injury.
The lanky forward has expressed his delight at being back fit and firing.
Against Bright Stars on Tuesday, Bayo found both goals in the first half, and he took his tally this season to six goals, making him the joint second top scorer in top flight.
“I’m just delighted to be back out there on the pitch with sponsors like ForteBet and fans alike appreciating our efforts,” he said.
“The two goals and ForteBet man-of-the-match award are nice, of course, but it is about the team.
“There is a real sense of togetherness here at the moment and we have shown that over the past couple of weeks – we have dug deep to get the wins.
“We didn’t start well against KCCA and it wasn’t the best of games against Bright Stars, but we won both of them because we showed character.
“If we all stick together, I feel that we can really start to push on and put a real run together.”
Despite his fine form, Fahad Bayo knows he cannot get too comfortable though Proline continue with their fine form at home and have now scored 13 home goals. All the side’s five wins this term have come from Lugogo, and their latest victory lifts them a place up to ninth, and it increases the point gap between them and the red line to six.
“It’s good. I pushes every player to give their absolute maximum and we’ve got players to come off the bench that are capable of scoring goals,” added Bayo.
“You have to be on your toes.”
