Opposition Forum for Democratic  Change FDC members have shunned the party prayers that were organised to pray for the national delegates conference, elections for party presidential candidate slated for Friday and the candidates.

Out of the four candidates in the race, only Dan Malcolm Matsiiko showed up and talked about himself as a man of action with few words whose attendance significance that he wants to see the party stronger after elections.

The candidates who didn’t show up include the incumbent Maj. Gen. Gregory Mugisha Muntu Oyera, former Kumi county legislator Patrick Amuriat Oboi, and the most youthful candidate Mose Byamugisha.

In her opening remarks the acting party president Hon Alice Alaaso called upon the religious leaders to stop pampering the oppressors and dictators but rather call on God to take them away.

She also highlighted that the prayers are not only intended to take the party through the internal process strong  and always to make God part and pulse of their process but also pray for the country in the current hit of constitutional amendments.
