Sixty-two senior managers and financial experts at National Social Security Fund (NSSF) have graduated from the prestigious Strathmore Business School in Kenya.
The graduation ceremony for the participants, who had to go through months of courses and trainings that commenced in April, 2017 to meet the growing demands of the sector that is monopolized by the state-controlled social security provider.
According to Richard Byarugaba, the Managing Director NSSF, this year’s graduands from the Strathmore Business School undertook the Executive Leadership Program and the Senior Managers’ Leadership Program and some sessions of the training were in Nairobi while the rest were held here.
The Executive Leadership Program offers a comprehensive transformational learning experience while the Senior Manager’s Leadership Program on the other hand is for mid-level managers and professionals who want to broaden their knowledge and competencies in critical management and leadership skills.
Strathmore provides customized course units for its students. For instance, the graduates received training in leadership skills for Ugandan savers.
NSSF, which currently boosts sh7 trillion in assets, is the largest institutional investor on the Uganda Securities Exchange.
