Uganda on Monday woke up to the gruesome news of another woman’s dead body on Sunday morning in Kitara zone, Katabi Town Council in Wakiso district. Now shocking news of another murder in Nkumba Central, Katabi Town Council has been reported in the afternoon.
Body of the woman has been discovered naked and dumped in Kayiriira Forest reserve in Nkumba.
Police has condoned off the scene & the police dog is investigating.
This is the 19th murder to be reported in Entebbe in a period of three months.
In the earlier Kitara zone case, Siraj Bakaleke the Kampala Metropolitan South Police commander said the woman was believed to be a mental patient.
“Her hair looked to have been soiled for a long time, as person who has not been taking care of herself,” said Bakaleke.
He added that the crime scene wasn’t similar to those of other ladies who have been killed in previous weeks.
However, most residents disputed Bakaleke’s observations by questioning the blood which was found at the scene.
Residents were also compelled to go look for a woman in the area known to suffer from mental illness. She was found at her usual spot, raising more doubt.
According to Bakaleke, the body was taken to Mulago Hospital for a post-mortem as further investigations are carried out.
